Brazzaz

Media Type: Menu Design

At Blueprint, I was assigned the big task to take care of Brazzaz advertisements. For 3 consecutive months, my focus was with the restaurant and with many of their published ads. And considering their needs, I rebranded their advertising to include something that hinted at the dine-in experience. Using some basic business principles, the answer was pretty clear. And with the color scheme they used, I extended its use to all printed pieces for the purpose of conditioning and reinforcing the brand to the public.

The billboards were one of my favorite projects also, mainly because there were many of them scattered throughout the city. And they still are. But if you’re in Chicago, chances are you’ve seen this. And now you know who designed it. Image credits to the BPDS photographers.

There was a packet of promotional postcards sent throughout the Chicagoland area, and Brazzaz also used this avenue to promote their restaurant. When I received these from RSVP, it was a strange feeling to see this in my own mail. This aside, I carried over the new motif and continued to do that with all ads for consistency and reinforcement. The client also ran weekly ads in Crain’s magazine, where there were a number of templates I created to recycle. The two above were ones that I favored most.

And lastly, this was a typical example completed for one of the various publications for which I designed ads. Again, a motif was established and further branded by repetition.
